Acacia Gardens has completed the landscape construction for a garden design in Hampstead, London NW11 by Sarah Croud of The Garden Revamp Company. Acacia Gardens transformed the garden by adding a paved area with a pergola and removing steps to build a raised bed clad in clay pavers with a fitted wooden bench. Step risers and treads were finished in matching materials for a cohesive appearance. Corten steel planters, staggered clay paver pathways, and lush planting created inviting seating areas. With the addition of lighting for evening appreciation, the outside space is an inviting place to relax and socialise.
Modern Garden Construction Key Features
Clay Paver Area
The garden’s central feature is a London Stone clay paver area, with staggered pathways leading to two intimate seating spots. The planting extends right to the edges, creating a natural spillover that softens and blends the hardscape with the lush surroundings.
Patio With Steps
Just outside the house, a porcelain-paved patio sits, with robust steps leading to the rear garden. The steps incorporate the bricks used in the built-in bench, providing a cohesive and harmonious look. This thoughtful design detail helps unify the different areas of the garden.
Built-in Brick Bench
A bench topped with slatted wooden seating was seamlessly integrated into the raised bed clad in clay pavers. It offers a comfortable place to sit while blending into the garden’s structure. This bench serves as a functional seating area and adds an element of architectural interest to the space.
Circular Wooden Pergola
At the far corner of the garden, a circular wooden pergola shelters a paved seating area. This tranquil spot offers a perfect relaxing place, with picturesque views back towards the house. The pergola adds height and character, creating a cosy, shaded retreat within the garden.
The team at Acacia Gardens approached this project with a focus on attention to detail, ensuring every element was built to enhance the garden’s design. From the raised beds clad in clay pavers to the wooden bench and pergola, our goal was to accentuate this modern garden design. We worked carefully with the materials, integrating features like the slatted wooden facade and hidden storage to maintain a seamless look while adding functionality. It’s gratifying to see the transformation into a relaxed and elegant garden that perfectly complements the client’s home
