Acacia Gardens undertook a garden kitchen and dining construction project in Watford. The garden design by Rosemary Coldstream transforms the back garden into a premium entertaining area for the homeowners. An outdoor garden office sits next to an alfresco dining patio with a state-of-the-art Grillo Kitchen. As the project’s construction team, Acacia Gardens was responsible for site clearance, hard landscaping (office base and paving installation), fencing installation, garden lighting, and soft landscaping.
Garden Kitchen and Dining Construction Watford Key Elements
Garden Paving Installation
We installed paving to create an extensive patio for the Grillo kitchen and a dining table. After preparing the ground, Slab Coke Porcelain from London Stone was laid in a stretcher bond pattern level with the AstroTurf for a seamless finish.
Garden Fence Installation
The interlocking cedar board fence with 5mm shadow gaps and gate echo the garden office cladding for a cohesive appearance. The fencing also covers a retaining wall. A slatted timber screening was added above the new fence.
Garden Lighting
Acacia Gardens supplied and installed lighting. The lighting included downlights on the fence above the Grillo Kitchen along with plant bed and planter spike spotlighting. Where relevant, we added new cables and buried this underground.
Soft Landscaping
Soft landscaping included digging the planting beds, composting and planting. We also filled and planted the container pots. Rosemary Coldstream supplied all plants, and we followed her planting plan.
Kitchens are becoming an essential part of residential garden designs. The outdoor kitchen and dining area is the focal point of this contemporary garden in Watford. By adding a patio or terrace and purchasing an outdoor kitchen, it’s easy to upgrade your garden and enjoy alfresco dining throughout the summer. Even small gardens can benefit from a garden kitchen because entertaining at home is always enjoyable.
