Acacia Gardens is proud to present this contemporary landscaping project in Hammersmith, West London. The focal point of the garden is the bespoke red cedarwood shed with matching trellis. Refurbishment of the existing walls included repointing, painting and cladding to achieve a fresh and modern appearance. An artificial lawn helps keep the garden low maintenance. The paving and pathway installation allows for functional movement around the garden and improves the overall attractiveness. Other elements included lighting, irrigation and planting. The overall landscaping creates an idyllic urban oasis for the clients.

Key Elements Of The Contemporary Landscaping In Hammersmith
We designed and built a bespoke red cedarwood shed for the client. The shed stands proudly against the dramatic back wall in the garden. It offers a practical storage solution for garden tools and furniture. It also provides a focal point in the garden, thanks to the warm tone of the red cedar.
The neighbours overlook the garden, so the trellis helps provide privacy for the client. It also offers an additional layer of security, an essential element for any homeowner, particularly in an urban setting. The red cedarwood matches the shed for cohesiveness. It also provides a backdrop for trailing plants.
An essential part of this project was the refurbishment of the existing brickwork. We repointed the relevant walls, sealed the brick wall with a stabilising solution and painted with a dark Farrow and Ball colour. The rear wall brickwork was clad in London Stone Green Slate Geometric Veneers.
Artificial Lawn Installation
We installed an artificial grass lawn to ensure the overall garden design was contemporary yet low maintenance for the clients. Mayfair by Easigrass was selected because it has a lush and realistic pile that looks vibrant against the backdrop of the Farrow and Ball painted garden wall.
Paving and pathways was an essential part of the overall garden design. We used Premium Italian Florence Stone and Clay Pavers in Charcoal Grey, both by London Stone. The light and dark grey provides added interest and looks amazing against the artificial grass.
After the hard landscaping, it was time for the finishing touches. The garden planting plan is simple, with easy maintenance in mind and all-year-round interest. Everedge Metal Edging was installed to retain the plant bed soil. A Drip Line Irrigation System was installed along with border sprinklers to water the plants.
This project included waste removal, garden clearance and soil maintenance before we could begin attending to the design features. Our favourite part of this landscaping project was the bespoke red cedarwood shed with matching trellis. The wood has a beautiful tone that radiates warmth against the dark painted wall and lush artificial grass. The team did a grand job of refurbishing the existing brickwork, we achieved a contemporary finish, and it kept the cost down for the client.
