Hampstead Landscaping Build Project

Acacia Gardens, the London and Hertfordshire garden design and construction company, is proud to announce that our exceptional work has been showcased in the Pro Landscaper magazine. The stunning Naturalistic Wildlife Courtyard Garden, which Pro Landscaper has dubbed ‘Nature’s Hideaway’, was designed by Kathryn Cox. Look out for it in the April 2024 edition.

Nature Inspired Garden Design

Situated in the heart of West Hampstead, London NW6, this courtyard underwent a complete transformation under Kathryn Cox’s creative vision. It embodies principles of biodiversity and sustainability. A harmonious blend of soft and hard landscaping elements was meticulously curated to offer serene spots for relaxation amidst lush greenery. This garden was the winner of Design under £50,000 in the Pro Landscaper Project Awards 2023.

Highlighted features of this nature-inspired garden design and construction include:

Our hard landscaping expertise is showcased in the new garden walls we erected using reclaimed London Mix Yellow Stock. These walls not only enhance privacy and security but also provide an enduring backdrop for the vibrant planting scheme, adding depth and character to the garden.

The naturalistic design ethos was upheld through precise planting arrangements, preserving existing flora while introducing diverse trees, shrubs, grasses, and perennials. This thoughtful selection entices pollinators and birds while offering picturesque views.

Every corner of the space was optimised with bespoke carpentry elements, including a cosy seating nook crafted from FSC-certified Siberian Larch. A matching wall topper was also installed to enhance privacy and frame the 20m2 courtyard.

Meticulously laid paths and patio spaces feature sustainable and permeable clay pavers arranged in herringbone and stretcher bond patterns to fulfil the design’s precision requirements. The light hues of the paving harmonise with the new boundary, illuminating the space with elegance.
