Simple And Stylish Back Garden NW2
Acacia Gardens has completed a simple yet stylish family back garden in Kilburn, North West London in NW2. We enjoyed working alongside Jaki Grosvenor on this project to rejuvenate a lacklustre garden. The brief included installing a new composite decking and porcelain paving to create two distinct terraces. Building a garden shed provides the homeowners additional storage space for garden tools and furniture. A newly turfed lawn and new plants add a lush appearance to this garden. Acacia Gardens performed a series of hard and soft landscaping services for this domestic landscaping project.
Composite Decking
As part of the remit, we installed a DesignBoard composite deck and steps adjacent to the rear of the house. It provides the look and feel of timber without maintenance, making it the perfect choice for family gardens.
Porcelain Paving
The composite deck sits snugly against the new London Stone Storm porcelain paving to provide a second terrace for outside dining. The juxtaposition of decking next to stone adds decorative interest and a contrast of texture to the garden design.
Garden Shed
We constructed a hardstanding shed at the bottom of the garden to provide storage for the homeowners. The sub-base was prepared to ensure a stable surface for the shed to stand.
Screening Panels
We installed garden screening panels in a warm Western Red Cedar in front of the existing fence and three lights. The screen provides a layer of privacy and adds warmth and texture to the garden.
This family garden in Kilburn is simple yet stylish. Jaki retained the original garden components where possible. Most of the project involved replacing the wood decking with a long-lasting composite deck. The existing shed was disposed of and replaced. The tried rear garden was refreshed by laying and reshaping the lawn, and the garden was restored after cultivating the beds and supplementing the existing plants. It’s a straightforward garden design that provides the clients with usable outside space for dining and relaxing. Because the garden is low maintenance, it’s the perfect arrangement for a family, which certainly meets the brief.
